Ambition Academy has a range of workshops available for students aged 4-104. Our workshops range from fully resourced and staffed sessions to resource only sessions for you to deliver in house.
Available workshops
Student Space Program
If you want to engage students in science, include dinosaurs, pirates or space. Better still, let them build their own space launch. This project provides the support, materials and assistance on launch day to build a functional high altitude balloon payload carrier. Students work over a series of workshops to design and build a project to send an experiment of their choice into near space alongside some fantastic photo opportunities from high altitude.
Astro-Engineering Day
A full or half day workshop ideal for secondary school students of any year group. Students work on classic applied physics practicals such as the egg drop, aerodynamic gliders, trebuchets and building, decorating and launching their own methane bottle rockets
Primary Physicists
Designed for years 4-6. This day or half day session brings a selection of exciting practical science practicals to develop a life long love of science. Delivered by qualified science teachers and STEM leaders, students will watch exciting and explosive demonstrations of practical science. In between the more explosive demonstrations, students work in teams on their own exciting projects such as our catapult competition, water rocket building and egg parachutes. Don't worry we provide clean up too.
